Justin Launches Unofficial Committee for Community Collaboration - All Skillsets Welcome

I am on the hunt for highly active/supportive ARK community members who want to help me do some cool ARK stuff.

Alternatively, if you have been standing by, excited about ARK, but you are not sure how you can help, this is your chance to jump in and contribute!

The Problem

I have some projects cooking that will help both the community and newcomers understand ARK better, and get deeper access to educational resources. Trouble is, some of these projects are just too ambitious for only my two hands. While I do plan on tackling these projects on my own, and it will take as long as it takes, help from the community will greatly accelerate the deployment time of these ideas.

Does this mean I get top secret NORAD information?

Projects will always be using information that is already public and you won't be accidentally exposed to insider information. I don't even really have any myself, haha.

What kinds of projects?

These projects are mostly compartmentalized tasks. What that means is multiple people can work on the same project at once, in real time and across any timezone, without having to communicate with me or each other unless they want to. I work on my own on it as well in real time, but then I may wake up the next day and see that more was completed by the committee. I can then review and proceed working as everyone chips in. Real-time committee chat will be available.

Am I "committing" to this committee?

The committee is simply a group of people who are publicly saying that they are willing to help out, and you are not obligated to do anything or work on a specific project. You can simply enjoy the coolness of being on the committee and just contribute sometimes.

Who qualifies?

Next point is critical. All skillsets welcome. There will be projects where the only requirement is you like ARK. There will be others that require some special skills, and I can set up subcommittees for those. Committee size is not capped.

Now here are the real details...

Committee activity will all be happening on the ARK Discord chatroom, discord.ark.io so, if you're not on there yet, you'll want to get on there ASAP. Discord has many powers Slack does not have, and it will be very powerful for collaboration.

I will be setting up a special role called "Committee" that you will have on the Discord. This means your username will be shown in a special area, kind of like the delegates, you will get a special username color, and you will have access to special channels that only committee members and delegates can post in. Those channels will be public, so everyone can see the cool work we are doing.

Bounties.

Right, so this is a pilot program to start, and I can't promise or guarantee bounties right now. However, as we do and launch cool work, I can bring these results and seek bounties, and at least try. There may be ARK available from angels, Arkio, ACF, or my personal funds (modest at best, I am far from having lambos). My vision is as the committee proves itself as a valuable tool to do work and launch resources, a steady flow of bounties may show up. I can't promise any bounties now, only that I can expose you to opportunities to contribute if that is something you would find cool and fun. I would not be accepting any ARK personally and only share with the committee members who helped, and I will always be tracking % contribution for each project.

What's the next step?

Before launching any project tasks, I need to collect the list of people who are willing to get involved, just in general. I am doing this in a Google Spreadsheet. So, the next step is to contact me directly via comment below, Reddit private message, Slack direct message, or Discord direct message. Ask to be added to the committee and provide your ARK Discord ID, making sure you are already a member of the ARK Discord.

I'm hoping to start the first project sometime next week or shortly after, just building the members up first. It's OK if we start with only a few people, that's not a problem.

I have already collaborated with some of you in the past, and I'm looking forward to making even more new friends and doing even bigger things with even more of you. Cheers!
