Architectural Photography: Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel in Bangkok, โรงแรมไฮแอทเอราวัณกรุงเทพฯ

This is my entry for architecturalphotography contest hosted by @juliank.

This is quite an old hotel with rather simple design which still keeps its classic and unique look when comparing with other new five stars hotels. This hotel used to be a very popular venue for high- society weddings and functions such as international or high level meetings and conferences. Nowadays it seems that the once considered ample space and large function rooms have become rather small and unable to accommodate the number of guests to weddings and participants of conferences.

โรงแรมไฮแอทเอราวัณเป็นโรงแรมเก่าแก่ ที่มีสไตล์การออกแบบที่เรียบง่ายและคลาสซิก เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับโรงแรมห้าดาวใหม่ๆ โรงแรมแห่งนี้ก็ยังดูไม่น่าเบื่อและมีเอกลักษณ์ของตัวเอง สมัยก่อนที่นี่เป็นที่จัดงานแต่งงานหรูหราของคนไฮโซ และเป็นที่จัดประชุมระดับนานาชาติเสมอ แต่ปัจจุบันสถานที่ที่เคยแลดูโอ่โถงและกว้างมากกลับไม่เพียงพอ ต่อความต้องการของการจัดงานขนาดใหญ่ในเวลานี้ แค่จำนวนแขกและรถยนต์ที่จะมาร่วมงานขนาดธรรมดาๆก็มีพื้นที่จำกัดไปแล้ว เวลามีงานแต่ละครั้งทำให้การจราจรในเขตนี้ติดขัดหลายชั่วโมงทีเดียว แต่เราก็ยังชอบบรรยากาศของล็อบบี้ที่นี่ เพราะมีขนาดกำลังดี ไม่กว้างใหญ่เกินไป เวลานัดเจอเพื่อนไม่ต้องเดินหากันจนเหนื่อยราวกับว่ากำลังเดินหาคนที่สนามบิน!
