Sometimes, the worst villain... is a whole company...

Many times we get into video games and we know villains that we hate, that we love, that stay in our hearts and make us pass the biggest rages and moments of hatred in our lives. Today I'm going to tell you the story of the best company creator of villains: Riot Games.

Yes, as you read it, the creative company of League of Legends is THE WORST VILLAIN that I've defeated for many reasons which I'm going to show you today. First of all I'm going to talk about the reasons why this company could be considered the WORST VILLAIN that I've had to face in my life:

Source: LoL Wikia

1.- The new champions

It's amazing the Riot Games's ability to create new champions that can be considered as "broken" or "op" (overpower) when we're just adapting to the gameplay and new mechanics , it's like if they had a super morbid desire to destroy the "meta" and force people to change their strategies at the time of playing every two weeks (yes, every two weeks the strong update patches usually come out with very significant changes in champions or game items.

META: The structure of champions, mechanics and most used items according to the current characteristics of the game.

2.- The "nerf" towards champions or items

Something worse than the previous point is the work of "nerfing" (weakening) that makes this company to the champions, items or runes that definitely sometimes don't have the slightest sense, because they say is to "balance the meta" but ends being an insane decision that ends in 200 million comments and debates in 4Chan and Reddit, besides annoying the players who use Irelia, Kassadin or Zoe inconvenience many players who are adapting to their champions and end up selecting others to survive the ranked games (report noob).

These nerf decision go from a small damage % or scale in some statistics, to removing range (on attacks or spells), increasing the gold cost (in case of items) in the store, or increasing the mana cost of skills, etc.

3.- The lack of penalties for trolls

This has been one of the most serious points because as many people who read other LoL players must see, the community is "super toxic", but why is this toxicity? Well, it turns out that there are many people with little knowledge in the game that pay for their accounts to improve their ELO and thus be able to play with people of more level and when they start playing the ranked games, of course they play terrible (and they do badly on purpose) also, end up making the gaming experience really terrible.

Hardly until today Riot Games has developed some sanctions mechanisms for these users called "trolls" in the games. Before there was a mechanism called The Tribunal which checked the reports that anyone made at the end of the games, now there is something called Leaver Buster that is in charge of eradicating and banning people that goes afk (Away from keyboard), but with people who play badly on purpose and have bad attitudes, there's still no mechanism to ban them efficiently.

ELO: A number that helps you to be matched with people of great or little level depending on how high this number is, it's calculated based on your performance within the games, your victories and others.

4.- Special game types

Not everything that Riot Games offers is bad, because sometimes they smoke a weird kind of weed and end up creating special types of games that challenge any player to put into practice everything they have learned until the moment and THEY MAKE YOU SO UNCOMFORTABLE AND MAKE YOU ANGRY AS NONE they use their creativity to take the trouble to the maximum and also, they have enough interesting villains that you must kill to win.

Of course we already talked about the reasons why the Riot Games company is the first villain that I always look for to win, now we know the villains created by them in the special games that will test all your senses and they will put your patience in test:

1.- The "DOOM BOTS"

Source: NA Official League Of Legends Web Page

This type of game was an incredible madness the first time it came out, because they literally took the AI (Artificial Intelligence) to another level to create the player a totally new experience when facing the bots. In League Of Legends, before this event, the maximum bots reached an intermediate level that could be overcome very easily, but after this event, it was a completely different story.

Among the demented things that brought these new bots were:

  • REALLY BROKEN new Abilities (and mixed with other characters ones): This meant that you could find for example a Lux that launched its ultimate ability everywhere, or a Garen that appeared from the bushes mysteriously, or a Malzahar with the Yasuo Wall and things like that (truly absurd). Oh, and of course... A GIANT TIBBERS! nothing more broken than that.

  • Unprecedented intelligence and aggressiveness: Before the arrival of these bots it was very difficult to find a bot that played you aggressively (or with such excellent marksmanship or prediction of movements) as these, it was definitely an absurd increase in difficulty. It was to see thing like a bot had better predictions than professional players and an aim worthy of the best "aiming" hackers known as "aiming bot".

If you want to see in more detail what I mean, you can watch a video where some LoL Tournament Casters play against these bots:

Source: Official LoL Sports Youtube Channel

gamingb.png

However, they didn't have enough intelligence to kill objectives or make rotations so despite everything they were rude but they were beatable ...

Until Riot said... Oh you think so? Do the Doom Bots are easy? and so he was born...

Him...

The return of the DOOM Bots and the born of the Little Devil TEEMO

Source: Giphy

A year ago, Riot brought back the DOOM Bots, this time calling them DOOM Bots of DOOM.

Here they definitely abused, this time they created some incredibly difficult bots with an exaggeration between the skills (INCLUSIVE GIVING ABILITIES TO THE MINIONS), and in addition to all the incredibly unfair of this game they created the worst super villain in the whole history of the summoner rift... the Little Devil TEEMO.

Source: Official LAN League Of Legends Web Page

The Little Devil TEEMO is a version of one of the most hated champions of LoL as it's TEEMO that little nasty rat quite tender yordle who has skills that definitely bother enough in any game. In this case, they raised the before mentioned ones in an ultra-exponential way, because this monster is to besiege the base with his fellow minions and seek to destroy your Nexus.

To win this type of game you had to kill the Little Devil TEEMO before it destroyed your base, which possibly (in 98% of the cases) doesn't happened.

To see in detail what I mean, I invite you to watch this video (in the last 3 minutes is where Little Devil TEEMO appears):

And if we had already seen everything, Riot Games this year simply took things to another level with their last type of special game, this type of game was titled:

2.- Oddysey: The Extraction

Source: Marca

This event is the cherry on the top of the ice cream in the matter of all the types of games designed to disturb players from Riot Games because in this type of game they took things to a higher level than the DOOM Bots one (yes, is possible to do it). It was so complicated for the players to complete it that they had to design some modifications for the champions abilities to make it a little more powerful since the difficulty is simply absurd and unthinkable.

In this case the game is a complete madness, the idea behind this game mode is to overcome 4 worlds (stages) full of monsters everywhere, a lot of abilities spam that many LoL players will recognize and a lot of energy collection to fill a yellow bar to explode a robot that gives you a lot of gold to buy some items and become stronger. All this is done in order to prepare to then face another of the best villains in League Of Legends:

Kayn: The Shadow Reaper

Source: Riftherald

This is a normal champion within the world of League Of Legends, however, in this type of game they took it to ANOTHER LEVEL, firstly by the size of the champion (almost an x3 of its normal size), then the absurd amount of skills that he throws (including some that are not of his own), the amount of minions that appear on the map in which you face him and his incredibly absurd amount of damage.

Simply the level 5 (because it goes from level 1 to level 5) is almost inhuman, I personally just achieve until level 4 (almost losing my heart for a heart attack cuz' of so much adrenaline), but at level 5 I couldn't even reach the end.

So, if it's about the villains you want to face, Riot Games is always on the lookout for a way to make players go to the maximum in their annoyance, they always reinvent themselves and evolve their ideas to bring us challenges. increasingly challenging our abilities.

If you want to know a little bit more about Oddysey I leave you here the Trailer of that type of game and a gameplay video:
