Buthidaung: A Rohingya women have been arrested by Border Guard Police (BGP) in a village of Buthidaung Township on 18th May 2018, reports a source.

A Rohingya women hailing from Doyyon Sara (Dar Paing Sar Yar) village tract of northern Buthidaung Township have been arrested immediately after her return from apartheid refugee camp of Bangladesh.

Immediately after her return to the village (Border Guard Police) BGP from Maung Nu and Taung Bazar arrived and arrested her arbitrarily.

Since her illegal arrest she is under immense torture of them and is heard to be in BGP custody according to latest updates received.

While inhumanely torturing she was interrogated several illogical questions including about the people returned with her and their current location.

Latest illegal arrest such as this have ignited further fear and demolished the hope of returning home for the Rohingya lingering in camps.

Repatriation of Rohingya became a mockery for Burmese government where on one side they agreed to take back and behind the scene they are committing serious genocidal crimes on the returnees.

Since late 2017 in Doyyon Sara (Dar Paing Sar Yar) village track most of the villagers were driven out of their houses either by fire or fierce. Now hardly few families exist, whom are also harassed and tortured on daily basis.

More than 800, 000 Rohingya have left Arakan (Rakhine) in Burma’s state sponsored genocidal operation that commenced in late August 2017.
