Hello everyone, this time I bring you an extremely simple and delicious recipe. Here in Venezuela it was very common to get milk chews and they were nicknamed "saca muelas" (tooth puller). As you read, imagine eating something like this but people loved it and it was cheap.
Days ago my mother remembered these candies and thought of trying to make them, not the chewy version of course, but a normal candy. She found them to be great and started with the lollipops, which were a success.
- 1 cup of sugar
- ½ cup water and add 4 tablespoons of powdered milk
- Cream of tartar
Step by step.
Step 1. Place the sugar in a pot on low heat until it becomes liquid.
**Step 2: Prepare the milk in warm water
**Step 3: Once the sugar is caramelized, add the milk and the cream of tartar while continuing to mix it with the wooden palette.
**Step 4: Place the moulds where they will be served on a tray with water, this will make the candy harden faster.
**Step 5: Wiggle with the wooden paddle until it breaks the boil. As it thickens, try putting a few drops in a little water and it should solidify.
**Step 6: Remove the pot from the heat until it cools down a bit and serve. Before it begins to harden, place the sticks.
