This book by Gary Vaynerchuk: Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook is such a classic. I remember buying this book in 2013 to improve my "Social Media" game. LOL
It's a pretty decent book but I don't recommend it at all because its pretty much outdated right now. However, I'll give you a tip... just give out so much value to people on every single post you do, the masses will flock to you. :)
Social Media is noisy and getting the "attention" of people is getting harder and harder everyday. I can tell you this right now, it's going to get 10x worse.
I get this question all the time... "Charles, how do you get so much followers, engagement and likes on Facebook, Instagram, snapchat etc... etc?"
It all comes down to your personality, knowledge, wisdom, charisma, attitude, entertainment value, and most importantly you have to study marketing and psychology of human behavior.
Since I'm pretty much inactive on those platforms for the last couple of years, it's pretty easy to "stand out" from the crowd.
Heck, I grew a following over 100K people on Social Media in a short amount of time with crappy content when I first started. LOL
All you have to do is be better than 80% of all the average people out there posting the same boring content. Yes, it's really that simple.
Regardless of what new or upcoming Social Media platforms comes along in the future, I already know that I will be better and faster in growing my followers and reputation than most people.
Heck, don't we all start with 0 people when we first started? So what makes a person who started at the same time you did, be better than you in a week from now?
The "secret" is... there is no secret!
All you have to do is keep providing decent content, give tons of value, engage with everyone, be different, don't be negative, put tons of effort on your posts and most importantly... be consistent everyday.
So, are you having problems relating with people on Social media? Just remember, what you are on "Social Media" is somewhat a small reflection of your life.

The social media world is always changing, algorithm updates are always fun to figure out lol.
Most of it is outdated now but if you provide value and entertainment then they will come.
The biggest issue is the major reduction in organic reach as social companies have gone public they now restrict organic reach to 5%-20% of your following and then prompt you to pay money to reach the rest of your following. Pretty lame but all part of the game.
Yeah. Those damn Algorithms... LOL ... also for organic reach, they do restrict it but its the same for everyone else so it shouldn't effect the 'numbers' as its almost the same for everyone. :)
