But some things don't change. And they function exactly the same as they did centuries ago.

This morning I woke up in a room where I used to sleep 65 years ago. I'm visiting my dad's home, who is still living here in my native homestead. Those wires above my head, on wooden feeling....(seeing pic) They still function exactly the same as they did 60 years ago. Humans normally do not remember much from their age of six years old, right? But I do remember this thing quite well. Because this was a BIG thing for us those days..
Year 1960. I was 6 year old. The ELECTRICITY wires were laid to our remote homestead, and those copper wires (who use copper these days?) were installed on a ceilings in every room, to power that miracle - the electric bulbs.
And now I see these very same wires, on the same "nuts", fastened with Soviet made nails to a wooden ceiling boards. Same place. Same wires. Same old furniture around. All like it was here SIXTY YEARS ago. All works, serves daily tasks for my dad. Just world behind the windows went crazy, wearing masks and/or sitting tight behind the locked doors. And no jet trails any more in the blue skies...
The fast WIFI Internet signals are invisible in all rooms of this 100+ year old building. Feels like a TIME MACHINE. Time capsule. I have traveled exactly 60 years BACK...
Wow, Thats so amazing to go back in time like that just by going back home, mist people now a days move from their original homestead, so this is truly a blessing for you in bringing back all those memories from your child hood, you are a lucky man. Have a awesome week, staying safe!

ohhh yes, things were build different back in the days. In those times everything was build to last for years, some even for a lifetime like the wires on the cealing. now thing are build with a predefined worklife. Phone break after 3 years and have to be replaced which is usually less then reparing the broken one. But there are still things that will excist for longer and that I will be happy to pass on to my kids, if they still want to have them in 40years😅 my friend, if you are already at your dads house, what about digging for some photos from your childhood. since this morning there is the #kidsofappics going on🤙🏻have a good time with your dad🙏🏼
