My inspiration behind this artwork was the Renaissance era and particular the amazing frescoes of Michelangelo at the Sistine Chapel in Vatican. Renaissance was the period after the Middle Ages and along with the Enlightenment brought the Western Civilization back to the path of creation and evolution in arts, science, culture and ethics. For the past years i have the feeling that we are living in a new Middle Ages, terrible inhumane acts are happening all over the world and decadence is spreading among our society like wildfire. In these dark times i am seeking for signs of a Renaissance coming and i am finding some flickering lights that keep my hope alive.
