Happy Women's day everyone :) I wish for a time where we don't have to celebrate ...
... on the basis of gender. I wish there comes a day where we can just celebrate being humans! Maybe one day! Someday!
But for now, let's be happy for the women in our life! 😊
In my culture, we honor women in the fall. I think it would be a tragedy when the day comes when we no longer honor women those living and also we must never forget our maternal ancestors who sacrificed so much in order for us to exist. Happy women's day!

Eat a lot and tell stories about past ancestors it’s like a Mother’s Day for the dead. Women can dress up and they get to be queen for a day 😂

But why only the female spirits? Is there another day for male spirits? Is this celebrated in all of Europe?
It’s the prechristian religion of Europe. It’s relatively new coming back in the 1970s but here in Northern Europe it’s much more common and has remained through Christianity. No I can’t think of any actual holiday for men 😂 besides the normal Father’s Day everyone celebrates

Hopefully there’ll be a time when things really are equal (pay, treatment by gender, etc) and that International Women’s Day won’t feel so significant, but for now yes absolutely! Hope you and every other woman had a great day.
