5 pieces of pomfret
5 pieces of surmai (king fish)
1 grated fresh coconut
2 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
3 teaspoon red chili powder
1 tablespoon tamarind pulp
1 teaspoon coriander seeds
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon oil
3 onions (cut into small pieces)
Wash the fish pieces and then sprinkle little salt and half teaspoon of turmeric powder
In a mixer make a paste of grated coconut, coriander seeds, cloves, turmeric powder, chili powder and tamarind pulp
Heat oil in a pan
Add Fenugreek seeds and onions to the pan and fry till onions turn brown in colour
Then add paste (made above) to the pan and make smooth consistency of curry by adding a little water
Add salt when the mixture starts boiling
Add the fish pieces to the pan
Let the curry boil for 5 minutes and turn off the heat.
Fish curry is ready! Serve with rice.
