When we embarked on this journey over a year ago, cryptocurrency was all the rage. We developed the Phoneum Miner to help bring mining to the masses. In July of 2018, we were forced to regroup due to a Google and Apple ban on all mining apps, because they were concerned about damaged phones and malicious software.
Phoneum GO was conceived. The developers worked hard and delivered a game in a fraction of the time it would normally take. Over 15,000 players downloaded the game on both Android and iOS phones and played vigorously over the course of our Alpha Phase.
With enough data in hand, and most bugs resolved, we were ready for the Beta Phase. We were very careful to follow all guidelines published by Google and Apple. Apple approved the game right away in the App Store which gave us great excitement because typically they are the more difficult of the two.
Earlier this week, Google approved the game but in a matter of minutes, suddenly did an about face and removed the game from the store. After much back and forth we were unable to get Google to reconsider, as they felt that the Earning Mechanism was still mining.
Back to the drawing board we went. While we had moved everything to the server (cloud) we determined that the quickest way back would be to remove the Earning of Phoneum (PHM) altogether. We have also made updates to the Video Barrel, adding a counter that stops the delivery of ads when the maximum is reached. We replaced the Time Booster with the Barrel Booster, that will double your rewards for 30 minutes. We also have replaced the XP Booster with the Lucky Charm, which when activated will double the chance of receiving a Patch Badge or Crypto from the Wooden Chest for 30 minutes. Another update removes completed Quests, so one no longer has to scroll through in an attempt to determine which ones are still available.
In-app purchasing has been updated. For the next 72 hours, three of the packages will offer a 1.5X Bonus. This is our way of saying 'Thank You' for your continued support while we rebrand.
In the next week, we will be releasing Cannon Blast, the first in a series of addictive mini-games. This will be tied to Phoneum and allow players to compete for high scores and gold. We also have plans to reintroduce the cloud-based earning mechanism as a stand-alone app. And we will announce more exciting things leading up to the Full Release scheduled for the end of March!
