Review

So I just finished this 12-episode anime today. As a whole, this is a really great anime. I have been fascinated with stories about fairies, spirits, ghost stories (even though I'm a scaredy-cat) and youkai ever since. So having found this anime with a historical background at that is a great treasure for me. However, I'm also a fan of headstrong female leads like Yona of Akatsuki no Yona (Yona of the Dawn) or someone like Shizuku of Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun (My Little Monster) who has her own principle in life. That's why Lydia isn't one of my favorites. The female lead in the anime is really clumsy in any way that leaves me irritated. She's too tsundere for her own good! (I classify her to the tsundere type of character) And I'm not into tsunderes at all. And she always rejects the guy. Even though Edgar is sincere when he praises his love for her. Though he's a bit on the pushy side, I like it anyway. But who would resist that handsome blonde, right? Reminds me of Mikage of 07-Ghost.

Setting the characters aside, this anime is really good to watch. If you're looking for something that's overly romantic, that is. Truthfully said, I like it in a way, too.

P.S: This is a very personal opinion of mine. Don't hold it on me if we don't have the same view on this. If you have dissatisfaction, do tell me. Jaa, yoroshiku~

The Japanese term tsundere refers to an outwardly violent character who "runs hot and cold", alternating between two distinct moods: tsuntsun (aloof or irritable) and deredere (lovestruck). Source
