I've been known in this community as someone who watches anime a lot and that's quite true. There are some categories of people who watch anime that can be quite annoying in real life. Thankfully, i am not one of them as i don't tend to speak about anime at all when i am outside, only if someone asks me or say something related and isn't weird :P

Many people dislike anime as they believe they are cartoons and generally speaking "it's for kids" while apparently smoking and taking drugs in order to seem cool is for adults. Anyway, there is this common misbelief out there so i am not gonna mention that i am watching anime to people that i meet for first time cause the most likely outcome will be for them to say the usual "it's for kids" and me trying to prove that's not the case and actually prove them that they are doing many childish things in their ordinary lives. 

Yesterday we had gathered with a bunch of friends in a house having a great time and somehow the conversation ended up that way. Someone said something about anime, then some people that are watching got excited while some others replied with the usual phrase. I remained silent until half an hour passed with no actual conclusion, so i said to the non anime group:

"Has any of you ever watched anime?"

2 of them said that they have never watched in their lives a single anime episode while the other one said that he had watched one but it was too cartoonish. Then i quickly replied to him and the others:

1) "What was that anime called?"

2) " What movie genres do you like?"

After they replied i conducted a sort experiment. We already had a PC and some laptops so i told them that they should watch 1 episode of an anime of my choice that is of your favorite genre. They agreed to it and and got ready to watch 20 whole minutes of an anime. The genres of their choice were comedy, fantasy or military and "something clever". My choices were: One Punch Man, Attack on Titan and Death Note, i went with some classics i know!

The Results 

One Punch Man:

The guy who watched this at first tried to hide some laughs but later on he just could handle it. Because we are a bit of assholes we have recorded him laugh just in case he say anything different in the future. 

Death Note:

Not only he got amazed by it, but he watched 2-3 more episodes and a while ago texted me where he could find the other episodes :P

Attack On Titan:

The outcome that came out of this was something i have never seen before. The one who wanted to watch this this genre was a girl and i expected when she sees the "Titans" to simply close it and swear at us :p but i misjudged her. She watched the entire episode without saying a single word and when the time came that the Titan ate Eren's mom in front of him, i saw tears coming from her eyes.

Conclusion 

If you don't know about something don't just brag about how stupid it is and stuff. We live in an era that internet access is available to anyone, so anyone can easily do his/her own research and then decide if something it's stupid or not. To say for example that anime is for kids while some are strictly for adults due to gore scenes and stuff is actually stupid. Do you research guys!
