5 Love Story Ends Tragically in Gundam Series - When Love and War Can not Unite

1. Lyle Dylandy & Anew Returner - Gundam 00

Lyle Dylandy is the twin sister of the first Lockon Stratos, Nyle Dylandy. Both have the same greatness in targeting the enemy. Surely their Gundam is also equipped with the advantages of it.

Lyle Dylandy first met Anew Returner when Celestial Being came to Lagrange 3, where the equipment supplies for Celestial Being. Anew is a technician and new member recommended by Wang Liu Mei, the main sponsor of Celestial Being.

They began a relationship when Anew was transferred to the main Celestial Being troop and began living on a Ptolemy 2 plane. Starting from a small chat, sharing their secrets, until finally, in front of other members, Lyle Dylandy expressed his feelings for Anew.

Unfortunately, they are not destined to live together. Anew is an Innovator, a new human race created by Aeolia Schenberg and the main enemy of the Gundam 00 series. In the end, Anew must kill his feelings and must betray Celestial Being.

The fight was not inevitable. Lyle with his Cherudim Gundam must duel with his lover, Anew with his Mobile Suit, Gadess. At the end, Anew loses, and Lyle convinces him to return to her as a lover, not as an enemy.

Both really love each other, Anew melt and ready to betray Innovator for Lyle's sake. Unfortunately, Ribbons Almark, the main enemy in this series controls Anew's mind so he attacks again, and Setsuna pilot 00 Gundam inevitably has to kill Anew.

Anew's last words to Lyle were accompanied by a song of Trust You sung by Yuna Ito making Anew's death scene even more dramatic.

2. Flit Asuno & Yurin L'Ciel - Gundam Age

Flit Asuno was the first major character of three generations of Gundam Age. His meeting with Yurin was when the Nora space colony, Yurin's residence began to be attacked by Unknown Enemy (EU) which later became Vagan, the main enemy of the Gundam Age series.

While escaping from the EU attack, Yurin meets with Gundam Age 1 piloted by Flit. Finally Flit helped him by inserting Yurin into the cockpit of Gundam Age 1. Yurin was surprisingly able to help Flit in battle by reading the movements of the EU Mobile Suit.

Finally Yurin along with other residents was picked up by a federation ship to be taken to a safer place, Flit and Yurin had to split up. Before parting, Yurin gave his hair ribbon for Flit, and hoped one day they would meet again.

Their wish was granted, they both met again in the Minsry space colony. At Minsry they spend their happy time together, but that does not last long.

Yurin is a person with an X-Rounder, therefore he was taken by Desil from the EU and forced to become a Mobile Suit Farsia pilot. He was threatened if he did not want to help the EU, so he would not be able to meet again with Flit, eventually he was forced to become a pilot Farsia.

In the fight on Ambat, Flit with his Gundam Age 1 must fight Desil who uses Zedas. Yurin with his Farsia at the scene immediately approached Flit, leaving the young man in shock.

Desil takes advantage of this and takes full control of Farsia to attack Gundam Age 1. Flit is overwhelmed, gains for Desil, with his Zedas he will stab Flit inside the Gundam, but Yurin protects him with Farsia.

Yurin reveals his last wish is to meet with Flit, before Farsia finally explodes and crumbles, bringing Yurin to death with him.

3. Kamille Midwife & Four Murasame - Gundam Zeta

Indeed, it can be said that Kamille has another 'couple' in the Gundam Zeta series, but the most memorable of course is the relationship with Four Murasame.

Four Murasame is a Newtype Cyber ​​or an artificial Newtype race. He attacked New Hong Kong with Psyco Gundam, and he also attacked the Gundam MK II piloted by Kamille itself.

They finally meet outside the Gundam, without knowing that they are the enemy. At the first meeting, they already have an interest in each other, because that's the Newtype race. They end up dating.

In the end, Four is forced to pilot Psyco Gundam again to fight Kamille with Zeta Gundam. Death is inevitable, Jerid Messa by riding Byarlant gives a surprise attack for Zeta Gundam, and Four with his Psyco Gundam choose to die protecting his lover.

4. Amuro, Char & Lalah Sune - Gundam

This triangle love story takes place in the first Mobile Suit Gundam series. Lalah is a talented Newtype from Flanagan Institute. Therefore he works under the guidance of Char Aznable the Red Comet, the leader of the Zeon army who is the main enemy of this series.

The first encounter of Lalah and Amuro is on Side 6. Amuro is already interested in Lalah because of his Newtype power. This race is like to be attracted to each other through telepathy or the like.

Char and Amuro are both interested in Lalah. Unfortunately Amuro is an enemy to Lalah, while Char has an advantage because the girl from India is working under her guidance.

In a battle, Lalah uses Mobile Armor Elmeth against Amuro inside the Gundam. That's where they know each other's identities and realize that each of them is interested and is in a 'Newtype Bond'.

Char comes with his Gelgoog. Due to an incident and accident, Gelgoog stabbed Lalah's Elmeth and made him die instantly. His Newtype soul revolves around Amuro and Char's mind. Since then, the two hate each other more.

The good news is that the three Newtypes can reassemble peacefully. At the end of the Gundam Unicorn story, their three Newtype souls are wading through the galaxy.

5. Mikazuki August & Atra Mixta - Iron Blooded Orphans

It is true that Mikazuki's relationship ended in a love triangle with Kudelia. But from the looks, Mikazuki only really care about Atra in terms of romance.

Mikazuki and Atra met when they were kids. Atra just ran from where he lived first place of night entertainment. There he works as a messenger and cleaner. Mika buys food for the starving Atra.

From then on, Atra harbored feelings for Mikazuki. Although Mika does have an indifferent and unconcerned attitude to this, Mika looks to the Atra, one of which is that she does not want to pollute A-made bracelets.

Mika was also very emotional when the Gjallarhorn's messenger tortured Atra when she was interrogated. Atra never talked to heart with Mika, that she was terrified every time Mika came down to fight, she was afraid Mika could not come back (dead).
