I worked with homeless people for a year (at a railway mission) and do agree, these bonds can be very strong and can be of great support for a person in need.
Yeah. People need to expand their awareness of other animals as well. We still support and participate in the harm, violence, enslavement, exploitation and killing of innocent beings that did us no harm, just because we think we "need" to eat them when we can live, survive and thrive better without engaging in that lower base survival conditioning we are still stuck repeating.
