Entry For #animalphotography by @juliank

We don't have rivers, ponds or streams here for waterfowl to use, however, we have a small number of man-made ditches that take the runoff water from fields. The water is held back by small dams and is used by farmers to water crops. During the winter and early summer, the ducks have water to live in. This one is taking a walk.

This where he came from.

The areas they live in are not very large. The water level has already dropped by 1.5 meters, & within the next month or so there will be just a few small puddles left. Nevertheless, they seem quite happy. I wonder where they go when the water has gone?

Hope you like the ducks.
