Animalphotography Weekend in Lower Austria

in #animalphotography5 years ago (edited)

This weekend i visited the eastern part of Austria for some animal and wildlife photography together with Stefan. We stayed for several days in "Prottes" a small village at a private home we rent for these days. From there we started our photography trips in this region. My favorite places there was a small hill with nice vegetation and a lot of butterflies as well as some small lakes where a lot of birds built their nests. Now that i know, how small the Lycaenidae are i can take a better look for them an i even found 2 different species of them.

Both of the butterflies where a bit difficult to spot, but one of them sat down on the lens of Stefan so it was easy for me to take some closeup Macro shots of it. But since it was bright daylight they didn't stay on one place for several seconds or minutes so i had to be fast in taking the pictures, in the morning and the evening when they are not that agile anymore it should be much easier to take some pictures of them according to Patrick another friend of mine who is into Macro.

I didn't find only butteflies in Lower Austria but also a lot of interesting birds that cought my attention. One of the most interesting ones was the Western marsh harrier, that had a nest near a lake where we wated for it to fly several times over us to hunt for prey (mice....).

Lovely as always. I should just create a bot to put this on all your posts!

haha, no please no Bot. I am so much more happy when i know that you are stopping by and see the pictures. :-) I am happy that i found a place like Steemit where i can share it with the world, otherwise they would just be on my external harddisk and no one else could see them.

Sehr schöner Beitrag mit vielen tollen Aufnahmen.

Grüße vom @faltermann 🦋
