THE ART OF WAR - A Unique Analysis Of Specific Quotes In A Macrocosmic Context - Part 6

This series extracts useful resources that can be used to help end slavery.  

The Art Of War is one of the oldest, most famous, and influential writings on military strategy ever.  

My purpose here is not to examine aspects of it in the context of mass murders called wars.  

The aim here is to gain useful information that can help humanity end its current condition of slavery.

From page 52 – Chapter 6 – Paragraph 23
 

"Great results can thus be achieved with small forces."

There are so many excuses that one can hear from people as to why society is the way that it is.  Not only that, but the inevitability of such disasters.  The one that I wish to target today goes something like this:

"The ruling class is too powerful, and there aren't enough of us to change anything because there are too many 'sheeple'."

First of all, I readily admit that I felt this extreme apathy no more than a few years ago.  Thankfully, I snapped out of it.

Secondly, it's not fair to call people "sheeple".  We all suffered the same basic indoctrination of lies, and we are all capable of breaking free from those lies.  

Lastly, how big is the so-called "ruling class"? They are a tiny minority.  If they can cause so many changes to occur with their lies, then why can't a small minority of conscious voluntaryist creators cause changes to occur with truth?

So now back to the Art of War quote:

"Great results can thus be achieved with small forces."

What great results are we looking for?

To gain freedom and end slavery. 

How can this be achieved?

By spreading the knowledge of Natural Law and living in accordance with it.  

Once this is achieved, then freedom will occur, slavery will end, and prosperity and growth in consciousness will follow naturally.   

What type of force?

One way to interpret “force” in this context might be one individual or a small group.  However, it’s also interesting to look at it from a second angle, such as:

A force being some particular type of action.     

Before looking at actions, let's start with the angle of individuals and groups.

First, I’ll mention some individuals who took actions that helped many people (including myself) realize true anarchy.

Look at how many people they’ve helped! Look at the profound effect their actions have had!

“Small forces” (individuals) can have ripple effects and end up causing titanic shifts.    

Small groups can also have huge effects.  For a great example here on Steemit, just look at what @familyprotection has achieved in such a short span of time!

Now let’s look at some specific actions (small forces) that can have enormous effects.   

One that springs to mind is inventing.  Just look at the effects that blockchain technology has already had! And it’s just getting started!

Other actions could be taking steps to live off grid.  Maybe teach those who are interested about practical steps to do this.  

Last, but not least, I want to mention some individual actions that anyone can take and are quite simple.    

Ask people simple questions.  

Questions that they’ve probably never thought of consciously before.    

It could be anyone in the street, or maybe someone you know, or even a badge-toting rights violator.  

For example, ask them if they can define freedom.  

Or if they know what a Natural Right is.    

Or if you’re a little shy about confrontation (trust me, I still am quite frequently, but I’m improving) then leave it in writing. Write the message you want to convey on paper and leave it in a public place where it can easily be found.  (I’ve done this a few times at airports)

Even if only one person reads it, you’ve done well.  You’ve planted a seed of liberty by taking right action.   And who knows? Maybe that person that you influenced will learn what true freedom is and end up influencing others.    

In summary, the “small forces” of intent and right action that are being done by individual voluntaryists are starting to achieve “great results” in society.  Simultaneously, other “small forces”,  specific types of actions, such as inventing or living off grid, are also providing opportunities to increase freedom in the world and achieve “great results”.
