Adam Kokesh is an American talk show host, activist, and author of the book FREEDOM! He is a decorated veteran of the War in Iraq, and came to speak out against war and advocate nonviolent resistance. Variously identifying as anarchist, anarcho-capitalist, agorist, voluntaryist, Kokesh has called for a "new American revolution" for the "orderly dissolution of the federal government. In 2013 he announced he would run for President in 2020 as a Libertarian. Kokesh states that upon swearing in as President, he will issue one single executive order peacefully "dissolving the federal government", and then resign.
Today, January 16, 2017, seven hours after Adam Kokesh announced his bid to for the Presidency in 2020 on Steemit he was arrested in Wise County, Texas, 200 Rook Ramsey Drive, Decatur, Texas 76234, phone (940) 627-5971. The two police vehicle stops were filmed by Kokesh and on a livestream for his many followers to witness while it was happening.
When he was pulled over by the police 2x in Wise County Texas within a half hour apart it became obvious to many that this was a trap set by the police at Wise County. The first police officer let him go the first time with a warning about not having his insurance coverage paperwork with him. A little down the road he was stopped once again which seemed pretty suspicious. The officer was rude and stated he stopped Adam for speeding. It appears to me the first officer had talked to the second one and they decided to stop him again and have his RV searched. The second officer obviously did not stop him for speeding because he immediately called back-up along with a drug sniffing dog. The entire incident seemed pretty suspicious especially after Adam announced he would be running for President 7 hours before his arrest. Was his arrest intentional to stop him from being successful with his plan for Presidency? Whether it was or wasn't, his arrest and the goings on of the police looked like he was set up. Also, the bigger issue in this entire drama the police initiated today is the unconstitutional war on drugs.
The war on drugs has been on many Americans minds for decades as being unconsitutional! Even in the early 1900's the government implemented, The Volstead Act, setting the starting date for nationwide prohibition for January 17, 1920, which was the earliest day allowed by the Eighteenth Amendment, making alcohol illegal. The Amendment was in effect for the following 13 years. It was repealed in 1933 by ratification of the Twenty-First Amendment. The government back then amended the constitution to make alcohol illegal. Today in regard to the laws set in place with illegal drugs and the war on drugs there has been no such thing done. Our over reaching, out of control government think they are in charge and the boss of the American people so they do not need to follow the constitution. We also have the most people in prison compared any other country in the world due to the drug war.
This has been a problem for many decades, letting government continue this unconstitutional war on drugs. It has negatively effected many Americans that have had their lives destroyed. All American people need to take a stand to have this stop. Not just in regard to the drug war but many other unjust things happening today against the American people. Our freedoms and rights are almost non-existent today. We are in a complete police state, more and more police kill Americans and are getting away with it. Our government does not follow the constitution, (government spys on us illegally, they have a two tier justice system where felony crimes go unpunished to politicians, a corrupt FBI and DOJ continue to break the law, and an IRS that has committed crimes against the American people). People this has become a serious problem, and now is the time to do something about it. Call the government officials in Texas and in Washington D.C., and voice your concerns about the unconstitutional arrest of Adam Kokesh and the drug war including the police officers shady tactics to arrest citizens. Isn't it the right of each us to put into our body what we choose? Isn't that part of living in a nation that prides itself on freedom? Where will it stop with this out of control government if they continue to get away with these constitutional injustices?
