A Few Words About Adam Kokesh
There are a couple of very simple questions I hope you will consider, and find the answers in your heart. Whether or not you plan to vote for Adam is not among them, that does not really matter at all.
Do you support the right of any average citizen to run for public office without fear of retribution? THAT is the question you need to ask yourself. I do not care if you support Adam as a person or as a politician, he is a "placeholder" in this larger issue.
Adam had been driving around the country for four months without being ticketed for anything. Within HOURS of filing his candidacy papers, he was pulled over twice and ultimately arrested for "possession" (Fourth Amendment, anyone?) of items that he may or may not have ACTUALLY had before the police provided him with the items in question... Yes, I am implying I suspect it was planted on him. Adam was forced to turn off his camera, which was not really lawful. There is NO reason to demand he stop filming unless you are about do to something you do not want on tape. Like, say, planting "evidence."
The timing of this is more than suspicious. We have just seen how the Democrats pushed the WILDLY popular Bernie Sanders off the ticket. Four and eight years earlier, Republicans trompled all over Ron Paul and all of his supporters. With MOST Americans now saying they are NOT Democrats or Republicans, suddenly all eyes are on the Libertarian Party. Sorry kids, the other "third parties" are still years behind the LP. There are papers to be pushed, palms to be crossed and asses to kiss, the Libertarians have done the pre-requisites. They have one thing all the others lack: Nationwide ballot access. Without NATIONAL ballot access, Jesus Himself could not win an election.
Adam Kokesh is hardly a household name. Even among liberty lovers, many people do not know who he is or what he has been doing for the past 10 years or so. It would be easy to say "He is a nobody, they would never bother..." except "they" have a history with Adam. "THEY" know who he is, even if you do not. "They" saw him make a move toward that third party, "they" know his platform is the kind of thing that could unite "left" and "right" and start the kind of r3VOLution that cannot be stopped... So "they" tossed him in jail, immediately. He is now getting the "mushroom" treatment and you will be hard pressed to find a word about it in the news.
I am not asking you to contribute to his campaign, or to his bail, or to anything at all. I am asking you to keep your eyes on him. Help keep him safe. Let it be known that you are watching. And while you are watching, consider supporting him if he is able to make his run for office. "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable" (JFK)... Adam is offering the most unique opportunity for that peaceful path I have seen, I will be supporting him.
Oh, I said "a couple questions." The other one is "Where is the victim?" No victim, no crime.

There is quite a bit of evidence that Adam is not someone who you should support, for Resident of the Awful Office or anything else. While I don't agree with anyone being harassed, kidnapped, and/or caged for victimless crimes, the issues here are much deeper. I would suggest that folks check out this recent podcast, follow the supplied links to the evidence that was discussed, and come to their own conclusions.

Jumping to the defense of someone just because they are (purported to be) a libertarian or an anarchist does not do the idea of freedom any favors. There are many a scam artist/opportunist within the liberty community. Far too often these folks get a pass due to prior "achievements" or just plain ignorance. This flies directly in the face of the idea, and one I know that is held by many, that ostracization will be a valuable tool in a future, free society. If it cannot even be effectively applied today against those amongst us who have evidence mounting (and sometimes even direct confessions) of continued wrongdoings simply because they are "one of us", then what hope does such a tactic have of being applied successfully if/when we do reach our "utopia"?
This is a broader issue than just that of one Mr. Kokesh, however I believe it is a good example and the evidence provided in the above link does seem to bear that out. Again, I would just encourage others to check into the provided evidence themselves and make their own conclusions.

If that's the only point that you will address despite everything else that what was presented in the show (and accompanying notes) and the larger point that I was making in my comment, then perhaps the you fall squarely into the category of individuals that I was describing.
Did you read the post? I specifically said this is NOT about Adam, it is about a HUMAN who filed papers to run for office then got arrested. I asked people to WATCH the situation and consider supporting him. You choose not to support him, fine. You also spread lies about him, so I don't spend much time paying attention to anything else you say. So much so, I am now muting you so rant on, I will not see a word of it.

I did read the post. You clearly did not read mine, as I stated that I was also referring to a larger issue. You have also clearly displayed that you are, indeed, the type of individual I described: one who blindly turns an eye despite a slew of evidence. Your rejection of an entire piece of work due to you simply claiming that you do not agree with one aspect is fallacious in nature. That points to your ability, or lack thereof, to think critically.
Like I said, folks should view ALL the evidence and then come to their own conclusions. You chose not to do so, and your replies have made it very clear that that is the case. 'Tis a shame but it's no skin off my nose. I don't have much time allotted for those who wantonly exhibit such close minded behaviors.

I totally agree with you. I watched the whole video, I was more than surprised at the patience of the police officers to go out of their way to meet all his request to stay within view of the camera he had sat up, even by passing their own request they'd like to stay on their
own camera's radar. The fact that someone who would think they could drive a large vehicle down a highway known to be monitored for drug trafficking while speeding with expired plates, no proof of
ownership or insurance with drugs aboard regardless if for personal use or not and not draw suspicion or face arrest is someone who would also display the mental capacity that a no body like him would draw the entire ire of the state of Texas to be hunted down and arrested based on just the fact that he filled out some paperwork, like I said to someone else....the entire clerks office couldn't stop laughing long enough to put out a state wide alert.
I did some digging myself and it seems his filing to run for president on the Libertarian ticket is a bit premature. That's not how the organization does things. As a matter of fact I had it on my mind today to contact a branch of the party and let them know that he is out using their name in a promotional gig for president which is against their by laws without their permission. The people are chosen by the party, though he is listed among those wishing to be selected by the party he's pretty low down on their radar compared to others, in other words he doesn't stand a chance in hell....and why?....because they've worked way to hard for way to long to let some guy who now has one drug conviction already and now facing another make them a laughing stock by his antics. He's not helping himself gain recognition in a positive manner. I am sure that just as soon as they find out what he's doing he will be disqualified for consideration. At this point he has to know he doesn't stand a chance and he is using their name to profit.
I have read a number of posts about this guy but they just make me more confused and no one wants to answer my questions.
There are a bunch calling for people to call the district attorney to grant a Writ of Habeas Corpus but that is something a judge would grant, generally in cases that are already concluded and there was a conviction, so what is up with that?
Also people will only tell me that he had drugs planted on him but no one will say what he is actually charged with, they say his bail is $80,000
so that is not for a personal use amount of drugs. Does anyone know what exactly he was alleged to have had and what the charges he faces are?
He is charged with less than 2 oz of weed, the 2 other substances that are not specified, but listed as felony charges. One was less that a few grams, the other was between 4 and 200 grams. If the other substances were things like cannabis oils, and he had 5 grams of one, that is still in the "personal use" range IMO but Adam does say he was clean. I believe him, due to the cops making him turn off his camera. THAT is suspicious behavior. He was also charged with trying to destroy evidence. He has a page here that someone is updating, PLEASE go follow him and you may find better information there than I can offer!
The problem is the information from his camp is vague and hyperbolic and hard to follow.

His camp is a couple of people that keep the game going. Supposedly according to one video they have raised over 12,000 dollars already. The first call out was he needed a thousand for bail, some guy said he took care of it plus got his vehicle out of hock and his dog released. Then came more video's saying he was still being held and now they needed much more money. Doesn't matter the amount he needs he's already achieved it plus some ....but the quencher is that the guy in the video says the DA isn't going to get the money....then people became upset, because obviously they were taken right?...., so they came out and said people were confused because they raised beyond what was required and when they said the DA wasn't going to get it they claimed they meant the additional six thousand above what they needed. Which they claimed would be donated to the Libertarian party.....today they came out with yet another where is Adam video and another interview from jail. So yeah, they are scamming people if he is still in jail and the guys quote of the DA never getting the money is true, meaning they are not going to use the money to post bail which also probably means the six thousand to the Libertarian party isn't going to get donated either.
People are scrambling, trying to get Adam out, trying to salvage the campaign (which if any of those felonies stick it is over) and trying to please everyone they hope to have as supporters.
Again, I did not ask you to donate. I did not ask you to vote for him. I asked people to keep an eye on him because whether or not you approve of his methods, he is pissing off people who WILL try to kill him if they think they can get away with it.
Well I guess you should find a lot of comfort knowing he isn't rebel rousing for the Clintons and shortchanging them on money....surely he'd never survive it.
p.s. I'd never give any political campaign/candidate money.
