Chichicastenango
This is from to Cobán packs more content into one photo essay than any of my previous chapters on Facebook. As I continued my ride in the central Guatemalan highlands, I happened to be at places which were buzzing with festival performances and events. the "dance of conquistadors", "the dance of a little bull", and performers hanging with a rope from a 30-m tall pole, and many other performances which amalgamated the history of Spanish colonisation and Mayas. And, what would be your reaction if you end up visiting the finale of a beauty pageant and your presence is announced on the stage? I left the beauty queens behind and headed to the jungle where I searched for the resplendent quetzal, the most beautiful bird in the world. But, the luck sent me to a place where I came to witness the most amazing horse riding show of my life.
All pictures and details, in this photo essay! It is something I have been working on and off for last few weeks.
