Halo News - Legacy Map And Game Type File Share Migration Coming To Halo MCC (Read Description)
343i is doing a one-time only import of Legacy Forged Maps and Game Types from Halo 3, Halo Reach and Halo 4. The dates are TBA. There will be 2 days this happens when Halo Reach comes to Halo MCC. First one will be for Community-made Maps and then the Game Types. They are transferring them straight from gamer's File Share based of the corresponding gamertags from the Legacy Games to Halo MCC. They will not be importing Films, Clips, or Screenshots. Please begin loading up your file shares on each game (Halo 3, Halo: Reach, and Halo 4) beforehand in preparation for them to get copied over. Leave the File Share untouched for 24 hours on the days they do the transfer. To accommodate the space, your Halo MCC File Share has been increased. They must be on the publicly view-able File Share, anything saved in locally stored data will not be transferred over. You will be able to play these Maps and Game Types on both the Xbox One and PC versions of Halo MCC once they have loaded to your File Share. You must be active for the on MCC for the Files to transfer over, so if gamer has been offline isn't active on Halo MCC, his maps will not be transferred to them. So make sure to be on for Halo MCC that day to help ensure files transfer over to your account.

Go To The Community Files Search Browser for Halo 3, http://halo.bungie.net/online/communi..., or Halo Reach, http://halo.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/Fi.... From there
Search for Map or Game Type.
Verify the Gamertag is still present and can load profile, sometimes it is missing or profile doesn't load because gamertag changed since last updated.
Go to the user's File Share by selecting "Files" for Halo 3 or "View All Files" for Halo Reach.
Verify they still have the map or game type on the file share. Since the website search results aren't up-to-date, the results aren't accurate so files might no longer be present. If it is still there, you are in luck.
Due to the fact you can't connect your account and download directly from the site to your X360 account, you will need to manually download from the console.
Load up the original Halo 3 or Halo Reach on Xbox 360 or Xbox One.
On Halo 3, for Xbox 360, hit the "Y" button to open up friends list. Go to Private Chat and enter in the gamertag of that user, hit "SEND" and then select the Gamertag in the Private Chat by highlighting the user and hitting the "A" button, select "View Profile" and select "Halo 3 File". From there you can select the viewable files and hit download. For Xbox One, when you press Y to open up Friends list, you will need to go over 1 to the right to messages and select the "Invite to Private Chat" (NOTICE: Server Connection may fail a few times and downloads might not always succeed so may need to try a 2 or 3 times before getting a successful notification that download completed)
For Halo Reach, load up the game and go to Forge Menu. Press Start/Menu button on controller. Go to File Browser. Then look for New Custom Search. Go to File Share Search and enter the gamertag and it will load that player's File Share.
10 You can also use the "Invite to Private Chat", if File Browser doesn't work. Or also if you have them as a friend you can view their file share.

Go to Halo 4 Search Browser https://halo4stats.halowaypoint.com
Find the gamertag of the file you are looking for. If you are signed in, you can download straight to your Xbox Profile. (Sometimes the Site is down wit ha 404 error)
Load up Halo 4 on Xbox 360 or Xbox One. Hit Start button and in the Settings & Files section, select File Browser. Select Map Variants/Game Types. Select File Share Search and enter Gamertag. Then Search and hit Y for File Options and then hit A to Download file.
You can also use the "Invite to Private Chat", if File Browser doesn't work. Or also if you have them as a friend you can view their file share.
