World's first human head transplant ‘imminent’ - Italian surgeon WHAT!!!
Hey all, so I've been following this story for a long time... I've been waiting for his surgery to be done. I am absolutely amazed at this. It's almost creepy what they can do with modern day medicine. This story was posted by RT.

Controversial Italian doctor Sergio Canavero claims he’s carried out the world’s first successful human head transplant, albeit on a corpse. Canavero says a transplant on a live subject is now imminent.
Canavero made his extraordinary announcement Friday, at a press conference in the Austrian capital, Vienna. The Italian neurologist said he carried out the posthumous operation in China and that his newly developed techniques for re-connecting the spine, nerves and blood vessels, allowing the head and body to work in tandem, were a success.
“The first human transplant on human cadavers has been done,” he said. “A full head swap between brain dead organ donors is the next stage. And that is the final step for the formal head transplant for a medical condition which is imminent,” he added.

The potentially revolutionary procedure, which Canavero previously said would happen in December 2017, is the stuff of science fiction.Several dozen surgeons will work with Canavero as he will simultaneously sever the spinal chords of the donor (body) and recipient (head) with a diamond blade, in what is expected to be a 24-hour procedure. .

That is just.... words fail me. And what is worse is that he now has to take pills every single day so that the body doesn't reject the head and he dies. He can't miss a single day or risk dying. What a way to live Im sorry I just... i have my own opinion on this.
I was thinking of getting a new body myself...
Imagine how much medical science would change if humanity mastered the science of what binds souls to a body, and how to grow the shell. Things like this procedure would be unheard of.
