GHOSTS OF CROATIA - EPISODE 1: Croatia's No.1 Haunted House

Croatia's number one haunted story goes back almost a century.

The last house on the right, in a small village called "Škrinjari" lies deserted over decades.
It has changed many owners and there are many stories about what happend exactly at this place.
The media has stories about a little girl, but most of the old newspapers and locals in the past had a slight different thing to tell.

They say that there was a couple with a young boy living there and one day the father went crazy and took the woman and the boy behind the barn and strangled them both in the water well and suposseddly killed himself.
The second family who bought the house managed to start building a second and a third floor but never got to finish it. The family sold the house and said to the newspaper that they couldn't stand the footsteps, cries and door bangings at night.

There are also some stories from the early 1990's when the Croatian-Serbian civil war was starting. Supossedly two croatian soldiers found a hiding spot in that house one night during the war and they also could not stay there the whole night.

My personal expirience with this place goes 10 years in the past. I was inside the house around 10 times and it's not a joke.

Yesterday I phoned my friend and told him I wanted to visit that place again and he agreed. He also brought some backup in a form of a doberman so we felt slightly more safe.

We got there around 3pm, parked in the field behind the house so the locals can't see us and we tried to go in but it was all grown over with thorns so we had to cut our way through step by step.
When we came a few feet from the door, the thorns were so thick, it took us 15 minutes to cut them down. That's when I realized that no one has been inside for a couple of years.

When we finally entered the house, this sinister dark feeling hit me instantly, I was reminded of the bad energy in this place. We started snooping around the ground floor which is the original part of the house where the notorius family has lived. The rooms have no doors, some grafiti from a long past and the thorns are already growing into the house. There is no furniture, the only thing left on that floor is the bathtub in the bathroom which is the worst looking room on that floor.

As we wanted to progress to the upper part of the house, my friend went forward with the dog, I followed him slowly. He's and the dog's reaction when they stepped on the second floor was so intense that he ran to the balcony and the only thing he said to me was "my friend, what the fuck is in that room?!"

It was an animal corpse of a goat or a sheep. An animal connected to satanic rituals. In this case , I don't want to guess what it was exactly doing there but the most disturbing part is that it had broked ribs as if something was killed it plus there was a small wooden table with candles there.
Croatians aren't really known by satanism but who knows?
We didn't want to stay inside for too long with that corpse so we decided to leave.

From all the haunted places I visited, this one truly has the most sinister feeling of all.
Is it a story made to scare little kids, or is there a real presence there?
