Perhaps the most significant addition to the 2017 Lincoln MKC is the addition of Sync 3 with Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto compatibility, which enables iOS and Android devices to be projected onto the car’s infotainment touchscreen. Two engine choices remain on the 2017 MKC, a 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbo-four rated at 240 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque and can be paired to front- or all-wheel-drive configurations. The optional engine is a larger 2.3-liter unit making 285 hp and 305 lb-ft and comes standard with all-wheel drive. A six-speed automatic is the only transmission available.

In 2016, approximately 25,000 MKCs were sold, and Lincoln says the model is bringing younger, more affluent customers to the brand. According to Lincoln, the MKC is also bringing more women to its showrooms.
