The Delhi Daredevils is a franchise cricket team representing the city of Delhi in the Indian Premier League. Founded in 2008 one of the eight founding teams of the IPL, the Delhi franchise is owned by the GMR Group. Their home grounds are the Feroz Shah Kotla Ground in Delhi and the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Chhattisgarh. qualified for Champions League T20 twice, making the Finals in the 2012 edition.
Current captain of DD is Zaheer Khan. While the coach and mentor are Paddy Upton and Mentor is Rahul Dravid.
Last season was unlike any other, as they began the tournament with Rahul Dravid being their mentor, while Paddy Upton coached the side. The captaincy of the team was handed to Zaheer Khan, who brought his immense international and domestic experience to great use and led the youthful squad.
To top it all, the team this year has made drastic changes in the squad in a bid to get the desired outcome. The best news for the team is that they have been able to acquire great players in the form of Angelo Mathews, Corey Anderson, Kagiso Rabada and Pat Cummins
