Handmade Guitar from Polymer Clay - Tutorial.

Hi to all! We continue a series of tutorials for beginners. Today we will show how to make a guitar. Guitar is made not very detailed, but again - this is instruction for beginners. In the following tutorials, we will tell you how to do more advanced things.

We will need:

• baking polymer clay
• sharp blade
• acrylic or plastic rolling pin (or pasta machine)
• painted or printed template of guitar
• wire and pins ~ 2 mm of thickness

1. Prepare your template. We used printed.

2. Roll out polymer clay (color that you want) to a thickness of 3 millimeters.

3. Using a sharp blade cut out a workpiece of future guitar.

4. Reinforce workpiece using wire and pins.

5. Make another one workpiece and cover reinforced part. Rolled these pieces together.

6. Use additional colors that you like for the decoration and details.

Than you need to bake your guitar according with the instruction, printed on the package. When you already baked it, you need to grind and polish it. Also you can use glossy or matte varnish, if you want. In the fingerboard, you can paste a spiral pin and you get a pendant.
