Cloud Alliance, the Singapore-based game payment and services group said it is partnering with blockchain cybersecurity specialist, Guardtime to support its range of products.
Guardtime will assist across Cloud Alliance’s products, the company said in a press release on Friday, including securing payment records and systems for its CloudMoolah payment aggregator, as well as minimizing virtual currency fraud and chargebacks in its MOO Store, which trades games and virtual assets.
“The security of the MOO Store ecosystem is of paramount importance to Cloud Alliance and it is important for us to safeguard the integrity of our gaming ecosystem. That is why we will work with Guardtime which has a stellar reputation for providing the highest cybersecurity standard in the industry,” said Jonathan Sze, co-founder of Cloud Alliance, in a statement.
Guardtime will be involved from the start of the development process so that Cloud Alliance’s products will be optimised to ensure that the highest operational security standard will be inbuilt and embedded into the ecosystem, the press release stated.
Guardtime’s global team of over 150 cryptographers, developers and security architects has significant experience in developing and implementing security products based on their KSI Blockchain, the company stated. Its technology is deployed within the Estonian Government’s netword and its partners include Swedish tech group Ericsson, and the company recently announced a collaboration with Verizon.
James Koo, President of Guardtime Singapore, said: “This collaboration with Cloud Alliance is our first entry into the gaming industry vertical, and we are excited to work with Cloud Alliance with their longstanding experience in the video game publishing and payments industry.”
