PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS
I recently purchased this game on Steam and all I can say is; holy shit! I highly recommend. If you can get over the fact that the game is in early development and that it doesn't always run smooth - it's a little rough around the edges. Then you’ll get the opportunity to experience the thrill and suspense that this game has to offer.
Personally I really look forward to seeing this game on console !
The game was released on Steam's early access program in March 2017. While in early access, the game had sold over two million copies within two months. Bluehole plans console releases following the full release of the Windows version, with an Xbox One version planned by the end of 2017.
If you’re not familiar with survival games
Survival games are a subgenre of action video games that generally start the player off with minimal resources, in a hostile, open-world environment, and require them to collect resources, craft tools, weapons, and shelter, and survive as long as possible.
There is rarely a winning condition for survival games;
the challenge is to last as long as possible. As such, there is rarely any significant story in these games. But this is not the case for PUBG.
Now in PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS there’s actually an end game or a way of winning if you will, but you better have nerves of steel if you plan on making it to the finally 1v1.
Battlegrounds is an action game in which up to one hundred players fight in a battle royal, a type of large-scale deathmatch where players fight to be the last alive. Players can choose to enter the match solo, or with a small team of two or four people. In either case, the last person or team left alive wins the match.
Now if you jump into the game and see the overall size of the game play map - the first thing you may ask yourself is;
“How in the hell is this match ever going to end. The map is so big... How are you going to find the last remaining player? "

So how does the game play out then?
Every few minutes, the playable "safe" area of the map begins to shrink down towards a random location, with any player caught outside the safe area taking damage over time and eventually being eliminated; in game, the players see this as a shimmering blue wall that contracts over time. This forces players into more confined areas and increases the chance of encounters with the surviving players. During the course of the match, random regions of the map are highlighted in red and bombed, posing a threat to players that remain in that area. In both cases, players are warned a few minutes before these events, giving them time to relocate to safety. On average, a full round takes no more than 30 minutes.

Overall If I were to rate this game based off of the other survival type games I've played, this one takes the win by a long shot. I've never been the best FPS gamer especially when it comes to PC gaming, but that make's every kill that much more satisfying. So far the best method I have found is to try and stay low profile until there's about 30 players left in the game and make a push for the center of the game play map where eventually the final 10 will end up in a very small zone. Just hope that you find some good gear before it's to late : )
Hopefully the developers keep working on it and bring this game to it's full potential ! I'm sure the X-box money will give them a good boost to do so.
