Dwayne Douglas Johnson is an American actor and semi-retired professional WWE wrestler. Having wrestled under the name ‘The Rock’, he made his Hollywood debut in ‘The Mummy Returns’ (2001). He reprised the same role in ‘The Scorpion King’ (2002). While appearing sporadically for WWE, Dwayne took up acting full-time and star in ‘The Rundown’ (2003), and ‘Be Cool’ (2005). He landed his first major role in ‘Doom’ (2005) and earned recognition for his acting chops in ‘Gridiron Gang’ (2006).

In 2007, Dwayne Johnson got the lead role in the hugely popular ‘The Game Plan’. Thereafter he starred in movies like, ‘Get Smart’ and ‘Race to Witch Mountain’ in 2008, and ‘Tooth Fairy’ (2009). These movies established him as a bona fide movie star.

Some of Dwayne Johnson’s best roles include ‘Faster’ (2010), ‘Fast Five’ (2011), ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ (2012), and ‘Pain & Gain’ (2013). While some of his highest grossing movies are ‘Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’ (2012), ‘Fast & Furious 6’ (2013), ‘Furious 7’ (2016), ‘San Andreas’ (2015), and ‘The Fate of the Furious’ (2017); some of his worst box office failures are ‘Walking Tall’ (2004), and ‘Baywatch’ (2017).
