Highlights
This section will highlight any observations made while analysing the data.
Observation from this week
- BTER has claimed 26 Million BTS and have made comments suggesting they will be opening up BTS Withdrawals in 2 days allowing trading on the Exchange and withdraw and deposit from Graphene based Bitshares chain - More details HERE
- Blockpay have rolled out Blockpay terminals at Oktoberfest at the 'Wirtshaus am Bavariapark' Beer Garden with all transactions other than Bitshares assets being facilitated by blocktrades.us- More details HERE
- @chris4210 from Bitshares Munich has confirmed that the 20,000 CNY, 5000 EUR and 7000 USD observed last week were created to facilitate value backing for merchants accepting Any of the crypto currencies provided by the Blockpay service and that this is starting capital which they will look to increase as required.
- @peerplays have announced a joint venture with Rawbots; Once released you can test your skill against other player, wagering peerplays tokens or Bitshares smartcoins.. Rawbots is a robot building and battling fun/educational game; more details HERE; Video HERE
- The Bitshares Munich team has also started experimenting with a market making bot which is aiming to provide liquidity support for smartcoin markets.
- OpenLedger have added some new Asset to the Bitshares network; Open.GRC (GridCoin) and Open.AMP (Synereo AMP) with gateway services operated by @blocktrades / blocktrades.us
- Fun Casino weekly income stood at -1.25 BTC on the account of customers winnings outweighing losses; as such dividend have not been paid to FUNC holders this week.. just goes to show the house doesn't always win - more details HERE
- Bittrex has made further comments regarding their plan of a fully verified exchange also PoloniEX has given notice to New Hampshire customers that there account will be frozen due to pending regulation - With moves like this from centralised exchanges it add power to a decentralised Exchanges! Bitshares require's no verification and can operate in every area around the world regardless of regulation.
- Bittrex has also made a large number of delisting recently which took investors by surprise, they have also stated that minimum volume requirements of 0.3 BTC on a 14 day moving average are required to maintain listings; it has also been suggested that this requirement will raise to 0.5 BTC by the end of the year; leaving some smaller projects without an exchange in which to trade on.
Thanks for viewing :)
I hope you enjoyed this report! :)
i value your feedback, Is there something more you would like me to track in these reports? please let me know in the comments.
For USD markets you could try:
curl --data '{"jsonrpc": "2.0", "method": "get_24_volume", "params": ["USD", "BTS"], "id": 1}' https://bitshares.openledger.info/ws/
Because Cryptofresh api shows always 0.
I dont know how to check more markets with one call.
Thanks very much for the Tip :) This string i Gold, just thinking about what other params i could put in there to pull data from OL!
The Smartcoin trading volume is that part i dreaded the most about this because when i looked at cryptofresh, coinmarketcap, and the dex all the figures were different; and i was spending 30-45 minutes just trying to get accurate figures.
With mentioned earlier you can change only other market pairs. "id" is required but whatever i put there it works. For different data you'll need other method:
curl --data '{"jsonrpc": "2.0", "method": "get_order_book", "params": ["OPEN.STEEM","BTS", 10], "id": 3}' https://bitshares.openledger.info/ws/
But this is far from optimal, when comes to real time ticker.
I was thinking about something like this:
Why? Because those BTS prices talks nothing to newbies and they are maybe to lazy to calculate.
But Cryptofresh is updated hourly so not good for "real time" data.
It seems RPC calls is not best choice and also very limited.
With full node you can obtain any data you want, but this requires... full node.
We need server with better public API (just pure data), so people could build own stuff with minimum effort and skills.
*note: I'm noob
OpenLedger also added Open.GRC (Gridcoin) this week :)
Awesome!, that is great news :) - I will update the post
Whats up (down) with the committee members approval?
yes it is interesting that statistic; the only committee member who saw a rise in approval this week was @chris4210 which i would say is directly related to blockpay, market makers, smartcoin issueance and his/their huge efforts in progressing the platform
Thanks for the information!
good
Hey @steempower, I am glad I found this blog! I have a question, how are the referral's tracked?
It would be of great assistance if you could answer this for me! :)
Have a great rest of your day!
Hi @theprophet0,
I am tracking referrals via the Cryptofresh which is deriving the data from the blockchain.
In Bitshares if you refer a user you get a cut of their fee's over time. Please see the image below showing a compumatrix users who signed up using a referral code 'compumatrix1'; details of the kickbacks are also listed on the right.
