Do you hear voices around you calling?

in #health9 years ago (edited)

This is common in people with mental disorders, but according to the British mental health organization, a large number of healthy people also hear these voices. In Britain, the percentage of people who hear voices unheard of is between 5% and 28%.

Symptoms

It may be difficult to describe what these sounds are, especially if they are not heard from other people. Some people have described it as the voice of someone standing by you. You might think you did not, but are you sure? You may have heard someone calling out your name to find that nobody! Research has shown that it is not surprising for people who have experienced loss to hear the voice of someone who does not exist talking to them, or the voice of the deceased.

It is also common for people to hear unreal voices if there are ideas that enter their minds from somewhere not themselves. But this is not if there is an idea that is suddenly inspired, which is from within the same person.

A good example is the repetition of a rhyme or rhyme in your brain, where you find yourself unconsciously repeating it and keeping it in your head time and time again. You may even find yourself interested in them. You did not make a decision to start thinking about it, and it's hard to stop thinking about it!

But the difference between the tune that is repeated in your head, and the voice of thinking that it appears in the form of words in your mind so that he may speak and engage in conversation with you. You are not responsible for this, and you have no idea what the voice will say to you afterwards.

For some who hear these voices, they may be with them all the time, and may prevent them from doing some things in their daily lives, while others may find a way to live with them. Those who hear these voices may not feel able to talk about them, and may become isolated, thus withdrawing from social life as a result.

Most people have gone through the experience of hearing a voice when no one is around them. A study found that 25% of people who hear these sounds have mental disorders. Children under the age of 12 said they heard the sounds, 75 percent of whom stopped hearing after they reached the age of 13.

the reasons

Until recently, hearing non-existent sounds was considered a symptom of mental illness, but it was not talked about because of the fear of stigma. Hearing sounds in psychiatry is a kind of auditory hallucinations, and as a symptom of certain conditions, such as schizophrenia, psychosis and depressive mania.

Painful life experiences such as sexual abuse, neglect, and loss of one of the parents are among the most important causes of auditory hallucinations, especially among children. In a study, 70% of the participants said they began to hear voices after experiencing painful emotional experiences.

the cure

The most common methods for treating non-existent sounds are sedatives, but this does not eliminate hearing them. In the past, mental health experts have learned not to make these people talk about voices because it might be a way of going along with illusions. Most experts are distracting these voices from hearing them.

Research has shown that many people hear these sounds, some treat them well without psychiatric intervention. Some of those who hear voices consider it a positive part of their lives.

You can talk to people who hear these sounds, giving you the opportunity to share experiences and learn from others, and you can join psychological help groups. In Britain there is the Hearing Voices Network, which specializes in helping people who are called non-existent voices.

It is good for the voices of these voices to discuss their problem in order to better identify what they are suffering. They may think they are the only ones suffering from it, leading to feelings of shame and fear of insanity. Concerns may avoid situations that may lead to the voices being heard and thus restrict their freedom of movement, thereby exacerbating the problem.

These people seek to find explanations for what is going on with them, such as knowing why these sounds occur and why they are heard, and this is useful in developing a person's coping strategy.

But the first steps of treatment are to accept the idea that these sounds belong to us and part of us, they reflect what this person hears or thinks. The sharing of experiences is one of the most important methods and treatments that rid a person of anxiety, especially with the presence of supporters and supporters.

Why have some melodies stuck in our heads? Experts believe that the person responsible for this is what they called "Earworms" any "parasites ear" and you may wonder Are there parasites creep to your ear and put a musical egg in your brain? Of course it is not, are parasites in the sense and feeling, which you feel in terms of moral and not sensory, enter into your brain and cause the so-called "itching of the brain." They need the brain to fill the void in the rhythm of a certain tune.

When you listen to a tune or song, it stimulates a part of the brain called the auditory cortex. The researchers at Dartmouth University found that when a part of a familiar song was played, the participants' audio cortex quickly completed the rest of the song. In other words, the brain continued to sing long after the song ended. The only way to itch the brain is to repeat the song time and time again in your mind. It's just like in mosquito bites, the more you scratch the place of the bite it gets the bigger itch, and that's what happens in the brain where it hangs in the endless vortex of the song.

There are other explanations that think that the songs stuck in the brain are exactly like the ideas that try to suppress them, the more we try not to think whenever there is more difficulty. Some believe that ear parasites are simply a way of keeping the brain occupied when it is empty. Several names are called "Repetunitis" or "Melodymania".

There is a video on the Internet were people are obliged to have a pair of headphones playing constantly voices and they go crazy after a couple hour.
You suggest to accept it as part of yourself but I don't know how I could learn to accept that and I really emphatized with anyone suffering any form of schizophrenia.
