Racetams
Racetams are a group of drugs that work by modulating responses at the glutamate and acetylcholine receptors. The most common reacetam is piracetam. Only this is available in india. Other racetams include aniracetam ,oxiracetam ,phenylpiracetam ,pramiracetam. All have the ability to increase brain performance with additional features. Example aniracetam also has anxiolytic effects. The only problem with taking them is their solubility. All except piracetam and oxiracetam are fat soluble. So if we take them with water they arent absorbed nicely. This can be overcome by having them with fats like cheese or after a fatty meal . One thing to keep in mind is racetams can be stimulatory. For some they can cause palpitations. So be very careful when using them.
