BitDegree is a new ICO that aims to solve many problems in our broken education system - namely the mis-aligned incentives for students, the prohibitive cost, and the skills gap between what they learn and what employers are looking for. They are using blockchain and smart incentive contracts to facilitate the transfer of value between company sponsors and students who sign up for their online courses. They envision that with their new model, students will have a ton of incentive to complete courses and learn the skills that businesses directly seek and thus the overall education process will be improved.
