Myanmar secretly buries the bodies of the Rohingyans

The Arakan news agency reported that the government of Burma has formed groups to collect the bodies of Rohingya Muslims and bury them in secret graves away from places they were killed by the army east and west of the city of Rassidong.

Dozens of bodies are being disposed of urgently and improvised - according to the agency - before allowing international delegations to visit the troubled areas.
The authorities are expected to allow foreign delegations to enter the western province of Arakan, in response to international pressure in this regard.

A survivor witness said dozens of bodies of Rohingyans were still lying for nearly two weeks and that the government had mobilized large units of the security forces to speed up the concealment of murder and genocide by burying bodies in mass graves.

On the other hand, the Rohingya organizations condemned these measures aimed at blurring the facts from the world's eyes and concealing the crimes committed by Myanmar army forces against the Rohingya Muslims, according to Arakan.
The organizations considered the measures to be an attempt to escape international sanctions and accountability for the atrocities committed by the Government of Myanmar and its army against the Rohingyans.
In a meeting of the Security Council last Thursday, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterich called on Myanmar to protect the Rohingyans, deliver aid to them, restore their stolen rights and repatriate refugees to Arakan.

Since August 25, Myanmar's army and Buddhist militias have committed crimes, attacks and massacres against the Muslim Rohingya minority that have killed thousands and displaced tens of thousands of innocent people, according to activists and rights activists.
