SASURAL SIMAR KA IS THE LONGEST RUNNING SHOW OF COLORS TV. IT NOW AIRS EVERY MONDAY TO FRIDAY
Sasural Simar Ka is an Indian soap opera that airs Monday to Friday on Colors TV. The show premiered on 25 April 2011 and is produced by Rashmi Sharma Telefilms. The show was telecast Monday to Friday 7:30 PM earlier but was shifted to 5:30 PM time slot later.
The series first starred Dipika Kakar, Shoaib Ibrahim, Avika Gor, Manish Raisinghani as Simar, Prem, Roli and Siddhant, respectively in main leads. Shoaib Ibrahim left the show in 2013 as makers weren't giving his character much importance and Dheeraj Dhoopar replaced him in same year. Then the series starred Dipika Kakar, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Avika Gor, Manish Raisinghani as Simar, Prem , Roli and Siddhant, respectively in main leads. In April 2016, Avika Gor quit the show as she had problems with her shooting schedule, so Roli's Character Was Ended.Then Mansi Srivastava entered the show in the role of Prerna (Simar's Childhood Friend). Prerna falls In Love With Siddhant.And so, she is married to Siddhant replacing Roli as Siddhant's Wife. In July 2016, Mansi Srivastava & Manish Raisinghani also left the show. So their respective characters in the show, namely, Prerna and Siddhant were shown to have shifted abroad. In August 2016, Vaishali Takkar and Varun Sharma entered the show as Anjali and Piyush, respectively. In March 2017, both Dipika Kakkar and Dheeraj Dhoopar quit the show for being a typecast and moving on to better projects. In the same month, Keerti Gaekwad Kelkar replaced Dipika in the role of Simar. In June 2017, Krissann Barretto entered the show as Sanjana. At the end of August 2017, Mazher Sayed enter the show in the role of Prem. Then the series starred Keerti Gaekwad Kelkar, Mazher Sayed, Krissann Barretto, Varun Sharma, Nikki Sharma, Vaishali Takkar as Simar, Prem, Sanjana, Piyush, Roshni and Anjali, respectively in main leads. In December 2017, Vaishali Takkar left the show. So Anjali's Character was arrested. In January 2018, Nikki Sharma also left the show. So Roshni's character was ended. In January 2018, the series is starring Keerti Gaekwad Kelkar, Mazher Sayed, Varun Sharma, Monica Sharma as Simar, Prem, Piyush, Avni respectively in main leads.
It is third longest current running shows and fifth longest-running show till now another being Balika Vadhu, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Saath Nibhaana Saathiya.
