STEEM POWER: How important it is

If you have account in steemit and Im sure you are a newbie, you might also being confused of what is a SP or STEEM POWER.

This is a special form of Steem. STEEMPOWER/SP is required to vote on content on the Steemit platform. The more STEEMPOWER/SP you have the greater the value of your vote. In order to acquire STEEMPOWER/SP you must either convert Steem to SP by a process called powering up or alternatively earn STEEMPOWER/SP through posting or curation rewards. Unlike Steem, STEEMPOWER/SP is not a "liquid" currency which you can transfer and spend whenever you want. In order to use it in this way it must be converted back to Steem in a gradual weekly process known as powering down. This can be initiated from your Steem wallet and happens over a period of 104 weeks.

If you have more STEEMPOWER/SP your voting amount will also became high. That will lift you curation to be more valuable..

STEEMPOWER/SP can also be earn by curating and making post. Once you make a post 50% of its value will go to your STEEMPOWER/SP and another 50% will go to your STEEMDOLLAR/ SBD.

So that the more STEEMPOWER/SP you have, The more valuable account is. So as a steemian do not think of how much you wil earn. But as a newbie the thing that you must firstly develope is STRENGTH in this community. It is also for the sake of other newbies..
