A ribbon cutting was held on Wednesday, Nov. 8 for the new Council on Aging and Princeton Arts Society facility at 206 Worcester Road.

COA members, friends, art society members, representatives from the yoga group that exercise in the space, and residents attended the formal opening.
Town Administrator Nina Nazarian thanked COA Director Linda Farineau for all her work. She recognized a long time ago that it might come to the point where the COA would need new space, said Nazarian. Once the fire department said the Princeton Center building would have to close she got right on it, she added. “She went above and beyond to make this happen.”
Farineau thanked Nazarian, selectmen, COA members, the Yoga group, Princeton Arts Society and state Rep. Kimberly Ferguson for all their support. Ferguson sent her aide, Emma Schlitzer to present a congratulatory notice from the House of Representatives to the COA, for the grand re-opening and for the much needed services they will provide to the community.

Princeton Arts Society president Judy Dino said she was happy the Arts Society had been asked to participate in the space and it has worked well for both groups.
