Apple ios 11 Another Annoying Autocorrect bug problem -Check Here to Fix the Bug

Apple fans are grumbling about a niggly little ‘bug’ which is making them very cross indeed.

iPhone users are complaining about another annoying autocorrect bug in iOS 11 , that is automatically changing the word "it" to "I.T".

At least a few hundred iPhone users have taken to Twitter and other online discussion forums to complain about the issue since iOS 11 was released in late September, according to MacRumours.

Here’s what one person said about autocorrect on the Apple support forums:

‘I know that I can simply turn off autocorrect, but I actually want it on for most purposes. I have confirmed that it isn’t a shortcut that someone set up as a joke.

‘I have also reset the dictionary. I have also powered my phone off and on several times. It is maddening! ‘If you didn’t know, you use the word ‘it’ quite a few times in emails and texts ‘I have also typed it out literally hundreds of times and corrected it out each time, hoping that the autocorrect function ‘learns’ but no avail.’

This is not the first autocorrect bug to be identified in iOS 11. Earlier this month, several people reported that every time they tried to to type the letter "i", it was replaced by the letter A and a strange character .

Apple fixed the bug in a later software update, iOS 11.1.1 .

How to fix the bug

Apple is yet to acknowledge the latest issue. However, there is a temporary workaround you can try if you are affected by the bug:

1. Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement.
2. Tap +.
3. For Phrase, type "it" (or "is" or "was"), and then type the same thing in the Shortcut field.

If that doesn't work, you can turn off autocorrect altogether, although this is obviously less than ideal.

With any luck, Apple will fix the issue in its next software update.
