I believe that the goal of the apps is not to replace medical doctors, but to raise awareness. I think people will be more determined to go for a check up when the app indicates they may have a health problem. I would use that app just to test its behavior, and believe me, if it says I have a possible medical condition my next move is to make an appointment with my doctor.
