2018 a strange year
Hi everyone, here is an introduction for my band Saboteurs.
Formed in Lincoln UK in late 2015, Ben Ellis was performing solo acoustic originals and playing in folk-punk band Dog Goblins while Rick Whitehead had been the lead songwriter and guitarist in alt-metal band, Tripswitch. The band racked up an extensive amount of gigs over the next 18 months including several festivals slots and supports with Black Balled (ft. Marshall Gill from New Model Army). We have a huge range of musical influences including New Model Army, Tool, Queens Of The Stone age, Deftones, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Siouxsie And The Banshees. Their music is totally and utterly from their hearts, knowing the importance of music to their lives.
When they first got together as a band they realised that trying to scratch every one of their musical itches as musicians was a tall order to say the least. Knowing one thing though and that was what music meant to them as individuals and that they didn't care for trends. They were all experienced musicians with our own individual tastes and stories and used that experience and passion to create the sound they have today.
Saboteurs Independently released their Debut EP simply titled 'Saboteurs' on the 2nd of February 2018 and are working hard promoting it themselves. They are currently recording their debut album at Phoenix Sound Studios in Mansfield UK and are planning to release a single before Christmas and the full album in February 2019.
