Travel Blog: Quirino Water Sports Complex

The Quirino Water Sports Complex will soon be opening its doors to the public as construction is still on-going. When completed, the facility will offer different water sports such as water surfing, wakeskating, waterskiing, among others.

The facility, located in the northwestern part of the province particularly at the capitol compound, is the latest tourism project of the provincial government to boost the tourism industry here.

It is a 250.75 square meter water sports complex which is equipped with wake boarding facility, pavilion, restaurant, swimming pools, bathrooms, and other amenities.

The pavilion is a two-storey building with a total floor area of 680 sq. m. The first floor consists of administration office, internet game room, souvenir shop and comfort rooms for male and female. On the second floor will be the viewing deck and one third of it is a multi-purpose room. The restaurant has a floor area of 410 sq m.

The wakeboarding facility has 150-meter wakeboard cable on 26,000 sq. m lagoon. It has a wakeboarding deck area of 250.75 sq m, wakeboarding gears storage, rescue/staff quarter, first aid clinic, male/female locker rooms and mechanical/electrical room.

The project, which is funded through the Various Infrastructure including Local Projects (VILP) of the province, is being groomed as a world-class water sports complex.
