The traces of Aceh civilization over the past centuries have kept so many of Aceh's most famous historical sites. The people of Aceh can know the traces of the nation's civilization through these historical relics. History has noted that Aceh during the colonial period, be it Portuguese, Dutch and Japanese colonization and armed conflict between GAM and RI not even though recorded Aceh never give up. That is why this madness is often referred to by the Dutch with "Acheh Pungo or Aceh Gila".
there are 7 places that are still remembered until now by the world.

1. Lonceng Cakra Donya.
   
   is a gift from China brought by Admiral Cheng Ho as a form of co-operation between Aceh and Tiongkok. This bell ever used by the Kingdom of Samudera Pasai as a drum war against Portuguese troops, then continued by the Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam. This bell is now stored in the Museum of Aceh as a sign of friendship between Aceh and China in the past.
2. Mesjid Raya Baiturrahman.
   
   is a mosque located in the center of Kota Banda Aceh. This mosque was formerly the mosque of the Sultanate of Aceh. When the Dutch attacked the city of Banda Aceh in 1873, the mosque was burned, then in 1875 the Dutch rebuilt a mosque as his successor.
3. Gunongan
   
   is a place built by Sultan Iskandar Muda at the request of Putroe Phang or Princess Kamaliah originating from Pahang and taken to Aceh by Sultan Iskandar Muda after Pahang was conquered by the Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam. Gunongan is located in Putroe Phang Park as a place to play the empress of Sultan Iskandar Muda.
4. Kherkoff Peucut
   
   is a burial complex of Dutch officers killed in the Aceh war, amounting to 2000 more tombstones are stored in it. World history records that Kherkoff Peucut is the largest Dutch cemetery complex in the world, not to mention other Dutch tombs scattered throughout Aceh. This grave symbolizes how the persistence of the people of Aceh used to maintain the dignity and dignity of the nation.
5. Benteng Indra Patra
   
   is a bastion of the first Hindu kingdom in Aceh used as a place of worship and a stronghold of enemy attack. Then the fort was captured by the Islamic Kingdom of Aceh and served as a fortress. The fort was led by a well-known admiral of the Acehnese warfare, Admiral Malahayati.
6. Pesawat Seulawah Agam
   
   this is a gift or contribution of Acehnese to the Republic of Indonesia after Aceh joined Indonesia. This aircraft is used by RI as a means to accelerate Indonesia's independence. This Acehnese donation is now a monument in Blang Padang Banda Aceh to witness the sacrifice of the Acehnese people for Indonesia, although Indonesia eventually forgets everything for its futile ambitions.
7. Rumoh Aceh
   
   is a traditional house of Aceh which is functioned now as a museum that stores thousands of historical relics of Aceh ranging from the relics of pre-modern history to the legacy of the colonial period other than that in rumoh Aceh is also stored various kinds of Aceh culture in the form of handicrafts and other Aceh culture.

Masyarakat Aceh bisa mengetahui jejak peradaban bangsa melalui peninggalan sejarah ini. Sejarah telah mencatat bahwa Aceh selama masa penjajahan, entah itu penjajahan Portugis, Belanda dan Jepang dan konflik bersenjata antara GAM dan RI tidak sekalipun Aceh tidak pernah menyerah. Itulah sebabnya kegilaan ini sering disebut oleh Belanda dengan "Acheh Pungo atau Aceh Gila".

   adalah hadiah dari China yang dibawa oleh Admiral Cheng Ho sebagai bentuk kerjasama antara Aceh dan Tiongkok. Bel ini pernah digunakan oleh Kerajaan Samudera Pasai sebagai perang drum melawan pasukan Portugis, kemudian dilanjutkan oleh Kerajaan Aceh Darussalam. Bel ini sekarang tersimpan di Museum Aceh sebagai pertanda persahabatan antara Aceh dan China di masa lalu.
2. Mesjid Raya Baiturrahman.
   
   adalah sebuah masjid yang terletak di pusat Kota Banda Aceh. Masjid ini dulunya merupakan masjid Kesultanan Aceh. Ketika Belanda menyerang kota Banda Aceh pada tahun 1873, masjid tersebut dibakar, kemudian pada tahun 1875 Belanda membangun kembali sebuah masjid sebagai penggantinya.
3. Gunongan
   
   adalah tempat yang dibangun oleh Sultan Iskandar Muda atas permintaan Putroe Phang atau Putri Kamaliah yang berasal dari Pahang dan dibawa ke Aceh oleh Sultan Iskandar Muda setelah Pahang ditaklukkan oleh Kerajaan Aceh Darussalam. Gunongan terletak di Taman Putroe Phang sebagai tempat bermain permaisuri Sultan Iskandar Muda.
4. Kherkoff Peucut
   
   adalah kompleks pemakaman perwira Belanda yang terbunuh dalam perang Aceh, sebesar 2000 batu nisan lainnya tersimpan di dalamnya. Sejarah dunia mencatat bahwa Kherkoff Peucut adalah komplek pemakaman Belanda terbesar di dunia, belum lagi makam Belanda lainnya yang tersebar di seluruh Aceh. Makam ini melambangkan bagaimana kegigihan masyarakat Aceh digunakan untuk menjaga harkat dan martabat bangsa.
5. Benteng Indra Patra
   
   adalah benteng dari kerajaan Hindu pertama di Aceh yang digunakan sebagai tempat pemujaan dan benteng serangan musuh. Kemudian benteng tersebut ditangkap oleh Kerajaan Islam Aceh dan dijadikan benteng. Benteng ini dipimpin oleh seorang laksamana perang Aceh yang terkenal, Laksamana Malahayati.
6. Pesawat Seulawah Agam
   
   Ini adalah hadiah atau sumbangan orang Aceh kepada Republik Indonesia setelah Aceh bergabung dengan Indonesia. Pesawat ini digunakan oleh RI sebagai sarana untuk mempercepat kemandirian Indonesia. Sumbangan Aceh ini sekarang menjadi monumen di Blang Padang Banda Aceh untuk menyaksikan pengorbanan rakyat Aceh untuk Indonesia, walaupun Indonesia akhirnya melupakan segalanya karena ambisinya yang sia-sia.
7. Rumoh Aceh
   
   adalah rumah adat Aceh yang kini difungsikan sebagai museum yang menyimpan ribuan peninggalan sejarah Aceh mulai dari peninggalan sejarah pra-modern hingga warisan masa kolonial selain di rumoh Aceh juga disimpan berbagai jenis di Aceh. budaya dalam bentuk kerajinan tangan dan budaya Aceh lainnya.
