Earlier this summer, Donald Trump drew just a little attention to an argument he made against Fox News host Megyn Kelly after the first Republican debate, for which Kelly was a host. “There was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever,” he said the next day on CNN.

The reason he brought this up? He thought she was being too hard on him.

Trump received quite a bit of rebuttal over social media with the hashtag, periodsarenotaninsult, which popped up a few days after the debate and is still going strong.

Sarah Levy, an artist and independent journalist, also calls herself an activist. Instead of taking a stand against Trump’s language about menstruation via tweeting or posting on social media, she took her response to the matte board and painted a picture of her frustration.

She titled the piece “Wherever,” as a reference to Trump’s original comment against Kelly. The medium of this Donald Trump portrait? Levy’s own menstrual blood.
“That he thinks he can bring up the healthy functioning of women’s reproductive systems to insult women’s intelligence is a big problem that I think needs to be called out,” the artist told Buzz feed.

If it sells, the moneys goes to an immigrants’ rights organization, though she also noted that the portrait has gone from a bright red to a reddish brown.
