A shark saves the life of a man! - How did this happen ??
How did this happen let us to know
When Eugene Finney was subjected to a vicious attack by a shark , he could have been forgiven for fearing he was a goner.
However, he says if it wasn't for the fearsome predator, he'd be dead.
Dad-of-two Eugene suffered cuts and bruises and was left in significant pain after a shark smashed into him while he was swimming off the California coast.
But when he went to hospital to get checked out, doctors found something more sinister - a cancerous tumour, which, thankfully, they were able to remove.
And he says that catching the disease early saved his life.
Eugene, from Fitchburg, Massachusetts, was enjoying a family holiday at Huntington Beach, California, when he encountered the shark during a leisurely swim.
Recalling the ordeal, he told CBS Boston : “Something struck me from behind. I’d never been hit like that before. It was pretty jarring. It kind of gave me instant whiplash.”
He suffered a large gash and went to St Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton, Massachusetts, with chest and back pains.
Medics told him the pain was the result of blunt force trauma - from the shark attack - but they also discovered a tumour the size of a walnut on his right kidney.

Two weeks ago, Dr Ingolf Tuerk removed the cancerous growth using minimally invasive robotic surgery.
Eugene credited the shark with saving his life.
