Lets Talk Cars - # 2
In my previous post, I talked about First Generation Ford Mustang. Out of which 1967's model is my favorite. So now Let's talk about my second favorite vehicle, that is 1969 Cadillac Deville. Now 1969's Deville was the Third generations of these vehicles manufactured by Cadillac. It was redesigned with slightly lower tail-fins compare to the earlier version with Hugh sharp tail-fins and straight rear bumper.

The third generation Deville's came in a couple of different models like Convertible, Sedan Deville, & Coupe Deville. Also, another thing that they changed was the alignment of the headlights. the previous generation models had horizontal headlights but the third generation had verticle headlight, and it came with 8cylinder, 472 cu motor & Automatic 3speed Transmission.
It have changed a lot over the years.
The 1969 DeVille was restyled in the Eldorado image with Eldorado-like front fender treatment that helped emphasize a stronger horizontal design line. Rear quarters were extended to give the car a longer look. An all new grille was released with dual horizontal headlamps positioned in the outboard step down areas of the grille. The hood was also extended, and the roofline was more square with the rear deck and bumper being more sculpted. A new ventilation system was introduced because of the elimination of front vent windows that also provided a sleeker look and improved visibility. A model identification signature script still sat above the horizontal body side rub molding towards the back of the rear fenders. The only engine available remained to be the 472ci/375hp V8 all mated to the Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission.
