Wearing a mask and cover the body of the horses is the way to protect the horse .

The fly mask or fly cap is to cover the eyes , jaw and sometimes the ears and muzzle to protect from insects like mosquitoes and flies.

It is important for the overall horse care as biting insect are source of irritation and it also may transit disease source . Fly mask is a semi – transparent made from mesh allowing horse and to see and hear while wearing the mask. It also provide protection from UV-light .

The cover to their body is for same reason protection from the insect and to protection from the extreme weather ..

In this photo , the weather condition is too warm . That is why they put protection cover for the horses .
