(1). According to H. Muhammad Said (1972), since the first century AD, Aceh has become an international trade route. The Port of Aceh became one of the passers by the passers. (9). Another myth tells us that in ancient times there was a king's son who was sailing, with a shipwreck. He was stranded to the shore, under a tree that the locals called the tree of aceh. The name of the tree is then turned into the name of Aceh.
(10). Talson tells, at one time a Hindu princess disappeared, fled from her country, but her brother later found her back in Aceh. He told the people there that the princess was aji, which means "brother". Since then the princess was appointed to be their leader, and the name aji used as the name of the region, which then gradually transformed into Aceh.
(11). Another myth living among the people of Aceh, mentioning the term Aceh comes from an incident, the wife of a king who was pregnant, then gave birth. By the inhabitants then called ka ceh which means has been born. And, from here comes the word Aceh.
(12). Another story tells about the character of the Acehnese who are not easily broken. This is translated from a series of words a which means no, and ceh which means to break. So, the word aceh means not broken.
(13). Among historical and anthropological researchers, the origin of the Acehnese is from the Mantir (Mantee, Acehnese) who live in the jungle of Aceh. This tribe has characteristics and posture that is rather small compared with the people of Aceh now.
