Trauma Recovery Empowerment Model - 3 Minute Daily Inspiration. Take 2 minutes and focus on this message to start your day! Get comfortable, drop your shoulders, take a deep breath, become fully present, close your eyes and listen.

We all have thousands of events in our lives that change who we become. Only a few stand out as hurtles that block our growth. We refer to these as traumas. These painful shackles bind us to the past. Freedom comes through processing and empowering ourselves to move forward and heal.

Traumas stunt our emotional growth. They also trap our responses in the past. When a potential “threat” presents itself in the present moment we tend to respond as if we are still experiencing the past traumas. Which can lead to confusion for those we interact with but also within ourselves. Becoming aware of these automatics is a great first step in identifying if you are still holding traumas within your body.

Your entire being holds this trauma not just your mind. Your body can relive a traumatic event endlessly and this can take a serious toll on the body. The emotional body can also become so reactive and erratic from trauma that you may begin to shut it down. Suppressing emotional reactions and not trusting yourself to respond to current events appropriately.

This ends up creating a scenario where you either become like a volcano holding everything thing in until you explode. Or you simply slowly die inside and lose your will to live. Neither of these options are worth experiencing.

Trauma must be processed. It must be walked through from a safe and non reactive space. It must be seen for what it is and what it was. It must be viewed through fresh clean eyes and it must be felt. With the full intention of the energy within it leaving the body. The energy must move through and out of you. This can take some time. The trauma can be re-categorized and re-framed within you.

Peace within the trauma can grow like a seed pushing through concrete. Old walls you have built to protect yourself can crumble and fall. What happened will never change but your relationship to it will change everything. Your life experiences will evolve and shift to your new narrative and personal freedom will finally be yours.
