Soil sampling is the most important step in the soil test program. Chemical analysis of the soil samples taken is required to measure the nutrient content, establish the nutrient status of the soil and can be used as a guide for the efficient and rational use of fertilizers and lime. However, the results of the soil test are meaningless if the sample of the land taken does not represent the area for which its recommendations are requested and not in the right way. Therefore, soil sampling is the most important stage in the soil test program.
Soil samples can be taken at any time, no need to wait before planting but should not be done a few days after fertilization. Soil conditions when soil sampling in dry land should be in the field capacity conditions (moderate soil moisture is the condition of the soil is approximately enough for soil processing). Moderate harvest on wetland should be taken in wet conditions.
